Boots, Beats & Bistro Treats — Country Hoedown Blog Post

South Cronulla Bowling Club is throwing its very first Country Hoedown

Ready to swap the coast for the country—just for one night? On Saturday 30 August 2025, we’re rolling out the wooden dance floor, stringing up the festoon lights and tuning the guitars for an evening of line-dancing, laughter and classic country hits.

Meet your dance coach

We’ve booked Kate Moore, twice voted Australia’s Best Line Dance Instructor. Kate’s high-energy teaching style means even absolute beginners will be stepping in time within minutes. Bring your friends, shake off the weekday cobwebs and learn a few new moves along the way.

What’s on the program?

TimeWhat’s happening
4:00 pmDoors & bar open — grab a welcome drink

Dress the part

Pull on your boots, dust off your jeans and throw on a checked shirt (hats encouraged!). Prizes on the night for “Best Dressed” and “Most Committed Cowboy Boots”.

Fuel for the floor

Our bistro will be serving hearty pub favourites and a few Southern-style specials. Pair that with a cold schooner from the bar and you’re set for a top night.
